Computer Vision / Image processing systems

Unmanned aerial vehicles form an increasingly important and adaptable platform for the projection of power in various situations. One of a UAV’s most demanding subsystem is its computer vision subsystem. Ion Machines has developed expertise in image processing algorithms and combined several low-level processing algorithms into a dynamical system that takes into account not only surrounding changes but also operator goals. To fully utilize the processing power of available hardware, a system must be able to vary the quality and the size of the regions the image processing algorithms are applied to. Additionally, the platform must have tightly integrated subsystems ( for example, path planning subsystems which can generate collision free paths autonomously ) so as to reduce the control points for the operator.
